A 1937 Monterey-style home set the stage and offered plenty of design inspiration for the modern age. Bold uses of color in unexpected ways were side by side with plays on the Palm Beach of yesteryear and today. Our team returned with endless inspiration for how to boost the beauty of our homes inside and out, both in grand gestures and clever details.

GREEN WITH ENVY
A feast for the eyes, Bierly Drake & Steele’s verdant dining room enveloped the senses with its glossy parrot green coffered ceiling and Sanderson Design’s black and green botanical fern wall covering. White-framed dining chairs upholstered in a vibrant green fabric and banquette pillows with fern motifs created a thoughtful interplay. It’s equal parts dynamic and dramatic.

The Lily Pad gave us a sneak peek into Lee Jofa’s highly anticipated collaboration with Lilly Pulitzer, and it didn’t disappoint. Amanda Reynal Interiors brought the lively spirit of the Pulitzer legacy to life, combining iconic Lily prints and heirloom artwork from the family with a fresh, modern outlook. Saturated kelly green curtains were paired with a luxe burl wood coffee table from Made Goods, anchoring the space in both function and charm. This effortless mix of new and nostalgic captured the essence of Palm Beach style.

Revisiting a ByGone Era
From the Roaring 20s to a resurgence of brown, these iconic trends from yesteryear have certainly returned to interiors as well. Laetitia Laurent’s selections of iconic French film stills, a framed vintage Hermes scarf with Art Deco details, along with a show-stopping bas relief mural inspired by a trip to Africa ensure the home’s primary bath is quite the decadent and transportive destination to start and end each day.

Marshall Watson & Reid Deane Ganes brought Art Deco vibes and soft brown hues with the strikingly patterned Iksel wallpaper throughout their space.

The New Classics
Our favorite bedrooms seamlessly intertwined both vintage and modern elements with dramatic floral wallcoverings infused with unexpected colors to create new classics.
We’re loving how Mitch Brown transformed the home’s primary bedroom suite into a glamorous oasis from sunrise to sunset with sumptuous textures like the cashmere sweater inspired carpet by Sacco Carpet and a silk peony mural from Philip Jeffries.

B.Berry Interiors used a hand-painted Gracie wallcovering in a symphony of olive and cream which set the tone for this sophisticated retreat. The custom bed is adorned in Pioneer Linens vintage collection, and the room is anchored by a patterned abaca rug from Patterson Flynn.

Feminine Flair in Entertaining Spaces
From romantic, neoclassical details to riots of florals and ruffles, many of the home’s spaces spoke to our feminine sides and paid homage to Palm Beach’s midcentury design heyday.
We’re swooning over the interiors- level attention given to the home’s striking outdoor rooms. Amal Kapan and Meg Lonergan (below) really leaned into layered design schemes ripe with color, pattern, texture, and chic design details (think: passementerie on pink dining chairs in the loggia and tassel- trimmed draperies that swag the lanai entrance for a dramatic entry), as well as decadent fabrics that only appear to be too delicate for the intense South Florida climate.

Louise Cronan’s entry foyer is a cheerful welcome; setting the stage for a home filled with beautiful surprises. Collaborating with her friend and muralist Chuck Fischer, birds of paradise nestled among lush Australian tree ferns were painted on an uplifting shade of green. The addition of a mischievous porcupine injects a dose of whimsy into the sophisticated setting.

Rajni Alex cleverly utilized both Cosentino’s hardworking Dekton countertops for the island and a swoon-worthy Calacatta Viola marble for the backsplash that proves you can have both style and function in your cook space, no matter how hard-working it needs to be. The organic beauty of the Armina stone marble on the perimeter of the room elevates the space with an artistic sensibility

We were drawn to the “stone-drenched” elegance of Kelly Clark’s guest wing restroom along with the beautiful wallpaper in the small bath. Noticing the bird in the wallpaper overhead on the ceiling really captured Clark’s attention to detail.

The striking mosaic tile on the walls (and floors!) of the powder room, designed by Erin Shakoor. The materiality and texture of a luxurious stone or mosaic tile make for rich, tactile spaces to primp and prep for the day, and these two spaces offer contrasting examples whether one prefers a lighter or darker color scheme.

Robin Henry’s tucked-away Blossom Bar brought a woman’s touch to the home’s bar space, typically thought of as a wooden, masculine room, and adorned it with plenty of curvature, a historic floral wallcovering, silky balloon curtains, and even trelliage on the front of the bar to ensure it’s an ideal location to unwind with an afternoon apertif as the boats cruise by.

Nellie Howard Ossi’s space, drenched in an English ivy inspired wallpaper and matching curtains, had a discreet bar, perfect for those ‘want to get away’ moments.

By mixing vintage with modern pieces, bold colors with flashy patterns, Mally Skok transformed this bedroom into the perfect “Gentleman’s Retreat,” a paradise for the well-traveled man. The room exudes a fun, yet masculine energy that instills a sense of wanderlust and adventure

Oxford Design’s incorporation of different textiles from their partner Lee Jofa, and usage of space made this not only the perfect “Poolside Perch,” but a space that seamlessly blends summer fun, but a classy elegance that screams ‘Palm Beach.’

Garden 26’s outdoor getaway invites you to become immersed in the greenery—a relaxing place to escape to. By replacing all of the existing concrete in the space, and replacing it with verdant grass, the magical greens all came together, turning it into a hidden, tropical paradise that anyone would want to get lost in.

Just as brown has made its way back onto the runways the past few seasons, it is certainly returning to the color palettes of interiors as well. The walls of the primary closet, designed by Kristin Paton, are drenched in a high-gloss chocolate brown that makes an elegant canvas for a mix of prominent antiques and funky vintage finds that evoke the breezy elegance of British West Indies.

Leta Austin Foster & Daughters’ “Winter Garden in Treillage” is a space that demands to be seen instead of passed through. Envisioning a room where it combines both indoor and outdoor aspects, they incorporated trellis wallpaper and extended flowers and greenery from top to bottom for an inviting approach.

MONIOMI took a cheeky approach to the home’s rec room by bedecking it in a pink, purple, and mocha color scheme that creates an unexpectedly feminine atmosphere that still feels well-balanced and inviting to all.
